Reflections After Mārgam

By Jayeeta Banerjee | Founder & Artistic Director, Vivarta Center of Performing Arts

The lights dimmed. The final bow was taken. And in that quiet moment, after the applause faded, came a wave of stillness — the kind that follows something fully given.

Mārgam was not just a performance. It was a culmination. Of rehearsals etched into muscle memory, of dialogues between artists, of shared purpose.

We are deeply grateful to each member of our audience, who brought not just their presence, but their attention — that rare, generous form of listening. You allowed the work to speak.

To the artists who offered their voices, instruments, and time with such care — thank you. Your contributions were not just musical, but spiritual.

As we move forward, we carry the learnings and the joy from this journey. Mārgam is a path — and we've only just begun to walk it.
